Welcome to the Affordable Art Fair
If you fancy yourself as a Charles Saatchi but you haven't got the millions you need to be a patron of the arts, the Affordable Art Fair is your chance to find an original work of art for your flat.

General introduction
The AAF is a fine art fair promoting original art. The fair's easy going atmosphere invites you to browse amongst the thousands of paintings, sculpture, photography and original prints – all priced between £50 and £3,000.
How can they manage this? Well, there's no Damien Hirst or Tracy Emin on show here - this is talent scout territory, a show where most of the artists are relatively young or little known. So you're taking a bit of a risk on the investment value of what you're buying; you do need to be certain of your own taste, and quite clear about what you want.
You can also create your own work of art - there are print workshops, held by Artichoke Print Workshops, which are free to attend, where you can make your own print and take it away with you later.
Even if you're not going to buy, the Affordable Art Fair is a great way to find out about contemporary art trends. And the setting, in the middle of Battersea Park, really couldn't be nicer. Head out there at the weekend for a taste of modern art at bargain prices.
A complimentary shuttle from Sloane Square ensures the fair is easy to get to. With a wine bar, café and children's crèche, AAF is an art-buying opportunity not to be missed!

Background
In 1996 Will Ramsay opened Will's Art Warehouse in south west London to bridge the increasing interest in contemporary art and the London gallery scene. By concentrating on relatively unknown artists not carrying a premium for reputation, the gallery was able to offer works from £50 - £2,500 from a stable of over 150 artists. The response to Will's Art Warehouse encouraged Will to take his approach to the next level, and in October 1999 he launched the first Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park. Over 10,000 visitors took advantage of the ease of buying, breadth of choice, affordable prices and user-friendly approach.
Since then the Affordable Art Fair has become firmly established as an important and popular step on the art-buying ladder, making buying and collecting original art a reality for many.
